GUIDE

How do I batch-save photos from an iCloud share link?

Event galleries, client selects, family shares—the link opens and you can browse. Saving one image at a time still hurts. For a whole set, packing a public share into a ZIP is the low-friction path.

Prerequisite up front: a public iCloud album share link you are allowed to access. Private libraries and login-walled views are out of scope. Overview of the ZIP job: download a public iCloud album as a ZIP. Tour albums, public event galleries, family albums opened for sharing—those are the usual scenes.

1. Event/client galleries—saving one-by-one hurts

Share pages are good for preview. They are poor for bulk save. More photos means more misses, messier filenames, and an afternoon gone.

Batch goal: one valid public link → one ZIP → local download, then convert or watermark if you need to. Fewer steps than tapping Share on a phone fifty times and air-dropping scraps to a laptop.

Freelancers know the pattern: client drops a share after a shoot, you need a local select folder tonight, and the share UI offers no “download all” that matches how you work. Public-link ZIP is the tidy shortcut when the album already opens without a login wall.

2. Prerequisite: public share you can open

The owner enabled sharing. You should not—and Sharezip will not—use this tool to “log into someone else’s private library.”

Sharezip never asks for an Apple password. It is not a private-library downloader. Zero crack, bypass, or password-workaround framing on this page—and none in the product’s intent.

If the link does not open, do not paste it into the tool and hammer retry. Retries do not fix permission. They are not a “bypass” either—this guide offers no such path.

Two-second check before you paste: does the share page demand login? Does it say invite-only? Login required → stop. Ask the owner for a public share or use official Apple flows. If you can browse logged out, then batch-save.

3. Paste → ZIP

  1. 1. Open Sharezip.
  2. 2. Paste the public album share link.
  3. 3. Pack and download the ZIP per the live UI.

Confirm the share still browses in an incognito window first. That cuts “paste, then discover the link expired.” Support: [email protected].

After download, unzip and open two frames. Confirm the pack is not empty or an obvious failure page before you start HEIC convert or metadata strip. Empty pack → check share permissions first, not more pack clicks.

4. Not a replacement for Apple’s official apps

Sharezip does not replace Apple’s official apps or system download/sync. Keep official flows for long-term sync into your own library. This tool covers public-link “whole ZIP” tidy-up only.

If you need ongoing sync into your iCloud Photos library, official clients remain the right home. Convenience packing is a different job.

5. After: Heiclocal / Metastrip / Stampdrop · boundaries SZ-3

What public vs private can pack: public vs private iCloud download. Sort permission before packing—fewer dead ends.

When you organize folders, jot a short note of the source share (date, who sent it). Later audits of “where did this set come from?” get easier. Keep that note next to the ZIP, not inside someone else’s private credentials—you should never have been asked for an Apple password here anyway.

Common outbound order after a public-link ZIP: convert HEIC → optional strip → optional stamp. Details live in the photo-trio guides linked above. Do not mix unmarked finals and proof stamps in one ambiguously named archive.

FAQ

Private album? Do not expect it. Only public shares with a working link.

Apple password? Never asked for.

Link won’t open? Verify in an incognito / logged-out browser first, then decide whether to pack.
